The candidates that we work with are generally not actively looking for a newrole, but are open to new opportunities if the right thing was to come along.
Occasionally we come across outstanding candidates who we discover areopen to new roles but not right for roles we have open at that time. The partnership we have built with New Farm them over the years means weknow their ideal candidate exceptionally well. Often we’re not working with them on a retained basis when we’re sending themstrong potential candidates, who if they like them they will match up to a newrole at the company.
A more specific example from Corteva was when we placed their ZonalProgram Leader in Singapore recently. We knew the candidate and hadintroduced her to a number of our key clients, but always thought Cortevawould be the perfect fit for her although there wasn’t a role we knew of atthat time that would work. After speaking to our HR contact in Europe wewere quickly introduced to the Corteva HR contact in Singapore who wasworking on the Program Leader role. The candidate made a great impressionand was quickly offered this position. Within six months she was promoted toGlobal Zonal Program Leader and the Corteva team are still delighted by theirhire.
