The Company

Our client is the market leader and largest independent player in farm management systems, working on unique strategy of a multi-tenant platform, due to high growth (40% last year) and high demand they are now looking for a Senior Director of Sales.

The Role

The primary function of the Senior Director of Sales is to accelerate the growth of sales within the mid-west Ag Retail market.

The role will be most effective by working together with the VP of Sales and President in the developing and executing of sales strategies, and undertaking business development activity. The right person will be able to identify and deliver new opportunities in the market and collaborate to develop sales plans that drive revenue growth.

The retail sector has been identified as a key market with high potential so there will be a requirement for this person to focus on that particular market.

       Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales for US & Canada to set revenue goals
  • Build a robust and accurate revenue pipeline and forecasting of retail segment
  • Cultivate strong relationships with retailers and large growers to develop customer loyalty and increase brand awareness
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets

       Other duties

  • Maintain strong connections with customers to ensure wider market needs are incorporated into the product development and enhancement cycle
  • Collaborate with product management, and marketing on messaging and strategies to achieve revenue goals
  • Participate in contract negotiations with large clients

The Requirements 

  • 5+ years in sales roles, driving and implementing revenue growth
  • Proven experience developing and executing sales 
  • CRM skills – culture of documentation
  • Agriculture technology sales, with understanding of ag retail sales
