Ms. Frodl is an experienced independent director, global C-suite executive and architect of transformative strategies that delivered multi-billion-dollar revenue streams and customer loyalty.  An industry visionary Ms. Frodl is recognized internationally as a catalyst for growth and for her expertise and leadership in clean technology and digital innovation, environmental social governance, and development of new business models that have delivered profound industry impact. 

As the former Global Executive Director of Ecomagination at General Electric, Ms. Frodl repositioned this clean technology strategy into one of multi-faceted innovation and expansive global growth. The platform she created inspired confidence for $25B in Ecomagination innovation investment that generated over $300B in revenues. 

Accountable to GE’s Chairman & CEO to be a global strategist and industry thought leader, Ms. Frodl was driven by purpose to solve society’s toughest challenges and the need in today’s world for speed and action. Her dynamic leadership drove formation of global industry partnerships to co-develop and scale innovative solutions beyond what GE alone could accomplish. This approach marked a fundamental shift in development of sustainable solutions within GE and powerfully demonstrated that business can drive both sustainability and growth outcomes. Ms. Frodl also led transformative initiatives that leveraged digital efficiency and open innovation. Under her leadership, GE was recognized with the 2017 Zayed Future Energy Prize, 2016 Fortune Changing the World”, Newsweek’s Top Green Companies and The Drum’s “B2B Brand of the Year”. 

Previously at GE, Ms. Frodl served as Chief Strategy Officer and Global Alternative Fuels Leader where she pioneered the business strategy to decarbonize the commercial fleet industry through alternative fuel vehicles and infrastructure technologies. Earlier at GE Capital she served as CEO of a $1.5B Public Finance business and a $1.7B Dealer Financial Services business, as Chief Marketing Officer of Commercial Equipment Finance, a $80B business, and as Chief Commercial Officer of Fleet Services, a $5B business.

Ms. Frodl’s extensive experience, global influence and success, and confident leadership make her a trusted and sought-after board member. With a holistic lens and collaborative approach, she engages global stakeholders in innovative thinking to arrive at strategic initiatives that create industry disruption and deliver profitable growth beyond what some imagine possible. As a board colleague she leverages her skill at general management, global strategy, business development and innovation to support strong management and progressive board governance.

Currently, Ms. Frodl serves on the Board of Directors for Spring Valley Acquisition Corporation, Renewable Energy Group, Inc. a $3.5B global leader in cleaner fuels, ITC Holdings Corporation, US leader in electricity transmission and she Chairs the Board for XL Fleet, a $1B leader in vehicle electrification for commercial fleets. Ms. Frodl has been recognized by Directors & Boards as a 2019 “Director to Watch”, Green Building & Design as 2017 “Woman in Sustainability Leadership”, Women’s Council on Energy and the Environment as 2014 “Woman of the Year”, Connected World Magazine as 2013 “Top Women in M2M”.

Ms. Frodl completed Harvard Business School, Executive Education, Making Corporate Boards More Effective and Stanford Business School, Executive Education, Director’s Consortium. She holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and BSBA from Minnesota State University.
